Accounts Payable/Finance Clerk

Flambeau Europe is looking for an Accounts Payable & Finance Clerk to join our team in Ramsgate. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys keeping things accurate, organised and under control, but who also brings a bit of drive, personality and initiative to the role.
We’re looking for someone who is just as comfortable processing invoices and reconciling accounts as they are spotting issues, keeping things moving, and supporting the wider finance function. What you'll be doing
This is a varied finance role with a strong focus on multi-currency accounts payable, as well as wider support across reporting, reconciliations, controls and transactional finance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Processing and maintaining the Accounts Payable ledger
Managing weekly supplier payment runs
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice or payment queries
Processing, controlling and reconciling bank and cash transactions
Supporting month-to-date and year-to-date expense processing, reporting and control
Preparing and maintaining accrual and prepayment accounting
Supporting monthly departmental spend analysis and P&L reporting against budget
Managing GRNI control and reconciliation
Completing intercompany reconciliations
Preparing annual and monthly spend returns for the Office for National Statistics
Monitoring and reconciling EDI activity, including setup where required
Providing Accounts Receivable and credit control support when needed
Assisting with customer service cover when required
Carrying out ad hoc analysis, reporting and reconciliations
Supporting the wider business with any other finance duties reasonably assigned
What we're looking for
We’re looking for someone who is:
Highly organised and accurate, with excellent attention to detail
Comfortable working with numbers, systems and reconciliations
Confident managing a busy workload and meeting deadlines
Proactive, reliable and happy to take ownership of tasks
A strong communicator who can work well with colleagues, suppliers and customers
Able to bring a bit of energy and initiative to the team — someone who doesn’t just process, but helps keep things moving
Experience in an accounts payable, finance assistant, purchase ledger or similar finance role would be highly beneficial. Experience in a manufacturing or fast-paced business environment would also be an advantage.
