Our Commitment to Sustainable Plastic Manufacturing

Vision Statement

At Flambeau, our sustainability commitment drives how we innovate, manufacture, and support our customers. We bring sustainable plastic manufacturing to life by combining expert teams, advanced technology, and responsible processes. Through clear policies and procedures, we act ethically, protect the environment, and support our communities.

We continuously work to reduce the environmental impact of manufacturing, optimise energy use, and maintain a safe, supportive workplace for every employee. As a result, we consistently deliver both quality and sustainability in our products.

Statements of Commitment

Commitment to Continual Improvement

Flambeau actively improves environmental practices by reviewing and refining our sustainability guidelines. Our teams and suppliers follow these standards, encouraging a culture of awareness, responsibility, and long-term environmental care.

Commitment to Track Results

We regularly assess our performance and track key metrics to ensure we meet our goals. By measuring energy use and identifying improvements, we take meaningful steps toward stronger sustainability. Additionally, we share progress updates and keep our teams aligned with our environmental targets.

Commitment to Address Company Sustainability

Sustainability is fully integrated into how we work. It’s part of our planning, reporting, and daily decision-making. Furthermore, we ensure our sustainability approach reflects our core values, supports our people, and delivers practical benefits to our customers. Every project we take on includes a commitment to responsible and sustainable results.

Results to Date

We believe businesses have a vital role in building a more sustainable future. At Flambeau, we actively reduce energy consumption and resource use to support long-term environmental goals.

Since 2009, we’ve taken part in the Climate Change Agreement for the plastics industry, managed by the Environment Agency. As part of this programme, we committed to reducing our Specific Energy Consumption (SEC)—a measure of the energy used to process each kilogram of plastic.

Thanks to continuous effort and innovation, we’ve not only met these targets but exceeded them. We’re now in Phase 2 of the agreement and continue to improve our efficiency each year. This progress clearly shows our dedication to responsible plastic manufacturing and long-term energy savings.

Goods In

MATERIALS READY WHEN YOU NEED THEM.

Strong programmes start before production runs. Our goods-in flow is built to keep inputs organised and accessible, helping production stay predictable and reducing the risk of stoppages caused by missing or delayed materials.

Shorter inbound routes into Ramsgate can also reduce uncertainty — supporting smoother planning and fewer urgent workarounds.

KEY OUTCOMES:
• Fewer interruptions caused by inbound delays
• More predictable starts and smoother production flow
• Reduced reliance on last-minute “catch-up” logistics
• Better visibility of what’s arriving and when

Customer Collaboration

DIRECT ACCESS. FAST ANSWERS. REAL PARTNERSHIP

Distance slows decisions. Proximity speeds them up. Our Ramsgate office space is where programmes stay aligned — with quick answers, clear communication, and easy access to the people behind your product.

From kick-off sessions to regular reviews, being UK-based makes collaboration feel simple and immediate — not delayed by time zones, handovers, or long escalation chains.

KEY OUTCOMES:
• Faster decisions when priorities change
• Easier visits, reviews, and alignment sessions
• Quicker resolution when something needs attention
• A more responsive, accountable manufacturing relationship
