Our History
Flambeau’s plastic manufacturing legacy began from humble beginnings, with its Co-founders manufacturing their first product – the Halik Frog Fishing Lure back in 1947, a tangible and proud reminder of the company’s first entry into the plastic processing industry. What has followed, has been 7 subsequent decades of growth and achievement in plastic manufacturing.
Shortly after World War II, WR Sauey and his brother, Ed put all their combined savings towards the purchase of parts to build a handmade injection moulding machine. Since 1947 Flambeau has grown to include thousands of caring and committed associates and over 1,400,000 square feet of production space.
Europe Expansion
In 1999 Flambeau expanded into Europe with purchase of UK Blow Moulder, Blowspeed in Ramsgate, Kent, England, quickly following with the acquisition of L & P Plastics of Margate, Kent in 2000, integrating it into Flambeau Europe of Ramsgate, Kent, England.
From that first fishing lure, Flambeau has grown to encompass a diverse range of manufactured plastic products sold through three marketing groups: Automotive, Retail and Industrial. Flambeau manufactures plastic products that meet the needs of both industrial & consumer customers.

Flambeau's plastic manufacturing legacy begins as it is founded in Bruce, Wisconsin, USA
First injection mold machine purchased and Flambeau started manufacturing the Halik Frog in Bruce, Wisconsin USA
Flambeau moves from Bruce, Wisconsin, USA to a former county building on 7th Street in Baraboo, Wisconsin, USA where the first set of 5-, 9- and 14-ounce tumblers were produced.
Flambeau builds new facility on Lynn Avenue, Baraboo, Wisconsin, USA
Flambeau invested in its first blow molding machine adding blow molding to its manufacturing capabilities. Pictured is one of those first blow molded products, the Kool Pac, reusable freezer pac.
Flambeau purchases Vlchek® Plastics Company
Flambeau Outdoors™ hunting and fishing product division was formed.
ArtBin® art and craft storage product division was formed.
Flambeau Products Corporation organized in Middlefield, Ohio, USA
Flambeau creates Flambeau Technology Center (Baraboo, Wisconsin USA) for creation of tooling and secondary fixtures for customers.
Flambeau acquires Columbus, Indiana, USA facility from Raaco of Denmark
Flambeau's Monroe, Georgia, USA operations move to newly acquired Madison, Georgia, USA facility.

Turn Of The Millennium
