Ramsgate, UK – 6th November 2025 – On the evening of 5th November 2025, a fire broke out at Flambeau Europe’s Ramsgate facility between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm while operations were ongoing. As part of our 24-hour manufacturing schedule (Monday to Friday), the facility was fully operational at the time, with several team members on site.
Thanks to the swift and professional actions of our on-site team, every associate was safely evacuated in under two minutes. The site’s fire detection system automatically alerted emergency services, and Kent Fire and Rescue Service arrived promptly to contain and extinguish the fire.
This morning, our teams have begun a full assessment of the site. While it is too early to confirm the full extent of the damage, we can report that the fire was limited to a small corner of our 140,000 sq. ft. facility and did not directly impact our business-critical functions. Production capability remains largely intact, and contingency planning is underway to ensure continued service to our customers.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the emergency services for their rapid response and professionalism, and to our associates who acted quickly and calmly to ensure everyone’s safety. We are also deeply appreciative of the messages of support received from our customers, suppliers, and the local community.
Flambeau Europe has operated in Ramsgate for over 25 years, providing high-quality plastic components to customers across the UK and internationally. While this incident is undoubtedly a setback, our strong crisis response has been enacted. Whilst disappointing, our experienced team are stepping up to ensure our infrastructure is recovered and our customers are protected. We are well-equipped to recover quickly and continue operations with minimal disruption.
