Flambeau Europe Shows Its Support for Local Schools in Thanet

At Flambeau Europe, we believe that business support for local schools is one of the most meaningful ways a business can give back to its community. That’s why we recently opened our doors at our Manston Road facility in Ramsgate to the heads of secondary and grammar schools across East Kent and Thanet, offering them a welcoming space to collaborate, connect, and plan for the future.

Why Support Local Schools?

Schools are at the heart of our communities. The young people being educated in our towns today will go on to become tomorrow’s workforce, innovators, and leaders. As a manufacturing business rooted in Ramsgate, Flambeau Europe recognises the importance of creating opportunities for partnership and engagement with the education sector.

Offering support doesn’t always mean financial donations. Sometimes, it means offering time, space, and resources — and that’s exactly what we did.

This kind of initiative also strongly aligns with our core values, particularly Family. Which to us means supporting the growth of responsible, caring, and thoughtful individuals. By working with local schools, we aim to create early connections that help young people feel encouraged, included, and inspired.

We believe in nurturing talent and supporting young people as they take their next steps. Whether through educational engagement, work experience, or structured training and development via accredited schemes like T Levels and apprenticeships. These efforts help create a future workforce that is skilled, passionate, and ready to innovate.

We’re also keen to collaborate with organisations and individuals who share these beliefs and want to make a positive impact in the community.

A Day of Collaboration and Connection

We were proud to welcome the school heads to our dedicated training and meeting room, a spacious and professional environment that allowed attendees to spread out, work effectively, and discuss their shared priorities. Whether they were using laptops, writing notes, or sharing presentations, they had everything they needed — and more.

To make the day even easier for our guests, we also offered free, secure off-street parking, removing the usual stresses of finding a space and helping everyone arrive on time and in good spirits.

Our Managing Director, John Wingfield, personally ensured that refreshments and a variety of snacks were available throughout the day — a small but important touch to help keep energy levels up and minds engaged.

Supporting the Next Generation

This event isn’t a one-off. It reflects one of Flambeau Europe’s core values: nurturing talent and giving back. As a business, we are committed to social sustainability. We take pride in building stronger ties with our community and investing in future generations. These people may one day walk through our doors not as guests, but as colleagues.

We understand that schools benefit enormously from real-world industry partnerships, and we’re proud to be one of the companies leading that charge in East Kent.

Looking Ahead

The day concluded with a group photo featuring all attendees and our MD. This was a fitting reminder of how collaboration between schools and local businesses can drive lasting, positive impact.

As we look ahead, we’re excited to build on this event and continue to develop new ways of providing business support for local schools and educational instituions. This could be through offering resources, mentoring opportunities, site tours, or joint initiatives.
