The Brief

A large OEM approached Flambeau in regards to costing and feasibility of manufacturing filler tube to go into a number of JLR vehicles, based on our specialised expertise in suction blow moulded filler tubes for the European market.

Our Solution

Flambeau’s first approach was to conduct a full feasibility analysis of the product. We recommended modifications to improve the part, to ensure a more robust process and better product performance. Flambeau oversaw the whole process, from tooling manufacture to trials and PPAP submission, until the part finally went into full production.

The Result

The company chose Flambeau for this project due to our expertise and knowledge in blow moulding, as well as an outstanding IATF16949 accreditation. From the conceptual stages to the product’s introduction into the market, there was a collaborative relationship between the client and Flambeau, which led to the project’s great success and forecasted sales being exceeded.
