Strengthening Our Production Capabilities Through Injection Moulding Investment
At Flambeau Europe, continuous injection moulding investment is central to maintaining our position as a leading UK plastics manufacturer. Each addition to our production line helps us improve efficiency, reduce lead times, and deliver higher-quality products for our customers.
Our newest investment, a 550-ton Bole injection moulding machine, fills a crucial gap in our fleet. It allows us to match components with the optimal machine size, improving part quality, cycle times, and overall production capacity. By carefully selecting machines to complement our existing fleet, we can serve a wider range of projects — from intricate small parts to large, complex components — all under one roof.
Introducing Our Latest Injection Moulding Investment
The Bole BL550EKS is a state-of-the-art, servo-driven injection moulding machine. It provides precise control, high repeatability, and energy-efficient operation. These features ensure that each part meets exacting tolerances and maintains consistent quality.
The machine was delivered to our Ramsgate facility at the end of September, and our team is currently commissioning it. Once fully operational, it will significantly enhance our medium-to-large component manufacturing. This investment also supports sustainability by reducing energy use compared to older machines. You can view the full specifications in the Bole EKS brochure.

Injection Moulding Investment Strengthens Our Fleet
Our fleet now spans from 60 tons up to 1,750 tons, with 17 machines in total. Each machine is selected to match the part it produces. This ensures efficiency, precision, and cost-effectiveness.
Smaller machines handle detailed, intricate components with minimal material waste. Mid-range machines, like the new 550-ton Bole, manage larger parts with high precision. The largest machines are reserved for exceptionally large components where structural integrity and surface finish are critical.
This breadth of capability gives us the flexibility to manage diverse projects while maintaining high-quality output. For more information on machine sizes and what they mean for your product, see our blog on Injection Moulding Machine Sizes.
Other Injection Moulding Investments in 2025
The 550-ton Bole machine is part of a wider programme of investments. Earlier in the year, we installed a 60-ton Haitian injection moulding machine to expand our small-to-medium production capabilities. You can read about that installation here.
We’ve also upgraded other equipment across the factory to improve efficiency and precision. In addition, enhanced security measures help protect both our production assets and our customers’ intellectual property. These steps underline our ongoing commitment to operational excellence and innovation.
What Our Injection Moulding Investment Means for Customers
Every investment we make benefits our customers. Expanded capabilities mean faster lead times, higher-quality parts, and more flexible production.
Optimising machine selection for each component reduces material waste and energy consumption, delivering cost efficiencies without compromising quality. Working with a UK-based manufacturer also provides reliability, reduces logistics costs, and ensures an agile response to changing demands. For more insights, see our blog on the value of local UK injection moulders.
Our Complete Bespoke Solutions service ensures that customers receive end-to-end support, from design and prototyping through to full-scale production. This turnkey approach guarantees a smooth and reliable manufacturing experience.
Supporting UK Manufacturing and the Reshoring Movement
Our latest injection moulding investment aligns with the UK reshoring movement. As companies bring production back to the UK, local manufacturers like Flambeau Europe are essential for delivering high-quality, reliable manufacturing solutions.
By expanding our fleet and upgrading our capabilities, we support the growth of UK manufacturing and help customers rely on local expertise and production. Learn more about this trend in our blog on UK Injection Moulding and the Reshoring Revival and on the UK Government’s reshoring guidance.
