A prominent ventilation supplier approached Flambeau to quote on a project, with the view of developing and bringing to market a concept design they had created. It was to be their largest investment in years. As one of four moulders invited to quote, we succeeded in winning the business due to our history, our experience in the market, and supply chain record.
Flambeau conducted a robust design evaluation study for the supplier to inform their decisions and we conducted a series of on-site workshops to educate and assist the team. Flambeau recommended a number of key changes in order to positively impact and improve the manufacturing process, design, and tooling – saving them money. Where possible we recommended areas of use for recycled materials, and we sourced the tooling and materials. We also conducted extensive tool trials in China until each mould met the customer’s manufacturing requirements.
Flambeau managed the process end-to-end, delivering the project in time and on budget. Once launched, the company reported seeing a significant increase in sales and have since gone on to gain a firm foothold in the market the product operates in. Flambeau were hired due to our exemplary experience, history, and supply record, and the company summarized the experience by stating, “They did not disappoint.”
